Purpose
The Zenovation Group was founded to leverage private companies and capital to help solve today’s great and urgent challenges in human and environmental health, such as those articulated in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Founder
Kate Roski founded The Zenovation Group after decades of working on environmental and social challenges, including as software entrepreneur, founder of an environmental media alliance, and as U.S. director of the largest plant conservation network in the world. More recently, as the director of an accelerator program for startup companies, she helped hundreds of entrepreneurs in various industries design and launch their new companies and build their social ventures.
“Working with so many dedicated CEOs,” Kate says, “I have seen that amazing insights can emerge when people are willing to be open. Innovation flourishes when conversations are forward-looking, collaborative, and experimental.”
“Zen reminds us that ‘in the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s mind there are few’, a transformational philosophy that applies equally to life and innovation. By opening ourselves to thoughtful exploration and persistence, together we can change the world.”
